Each of these is a genuinely different experience — not simply a different location on the same trip. Choose the region first; the stay, the drives and the journey follow from it.
Kruger National Park
South Africa’s largest and best-known safari landscape — rest camps, private concessions inside the park and a wide range of ways to experience it.
Greater Kruger
Private reserves on the unfenced Kruger ecosystem — guide-led, lodge-based, off-road drives and a slower, closer rhythm.
Madikwe
A malaria-free Big Five reserve in North West Province — lodge-based, well suited to families and to travellers who want that combination.
Dinokeng
Close enough to Johannesburg and Pretoria to make a safari possible without the distance Kruger asks — a different trade-off, not a lesser one.
