How many nights do you need in Kruger?
Kruger can fill a week easily, but not every South African itinerary has a week to spare. The right number of nights depends on travel time, whether Kruger is your only safari and how many different areas you want to experience. The biggest mistake is counting travel days as though they were full safari days.

Two nights can work as a taste of Kruger when time is tight, particularly if arrival and departure logistics are efficient. It leaves little room for unnecessary camp changes or a badly timed transfer.

For many first-time visitors, three or four nights creates a much more comfortable safari. There is time for repeated game-viewing sessions, a mix of self-drive and guided activities, and less pressure for every drive to produce a headline sighting.
