Kruger is enormous — larger than some countries — and no two visits to it look the same. Where you stay, how long you’re there and how you experience the bush all change the trip more than most first-time visitors expect. Putting those pieces together properly is what we do.
The Stay.
Kruger’s public rest camps and its private concessions are close to the same park and far from the same experience. Rest camps are accessible, self-catering or catered, and put you in charge of your own days. Private concessions sit within Kruger but are run more like lodges — generally more guided, more all-inclusive, and priced accordingly. Neither is the “correct” choice; the right one depends on budget, how much you want arranged for you, and how independent you want the trip to feel.
The Safari.
Guided game drives with a professional guide and tracker, versus self-drive at your own pace in your own vehicle, versus a private vehicle for just your group — these change what you see and how you experience seeing it. Self-drive suits visitors who want control and are comfortable navigating the park themselves. Guided safaris generally get closer to the detail — reading tracks, understanding behaviour, knowing where to be and when. We don’t promise specific sightings on any of these; nobody honestly can. What we can do is match the style to what you’re actually looking for.
The Journey.
Getting to Kruger is part of the trip, not a logistics footnote — whether that’s a drive from Johannesburg or a short flight to one of the park’s own airstrips, and how that fits around the rest of an itinerary matters. Kruger also rarely stands alone: for a lot of travellers it’s one part of a longer South African journey, paired with Johannesburg, Cape Town, or built into a fully tailor-made route. We handle the accommodation, the transfers and the way it all connects, not just the booking for the park itself.
