Founded in 1996 and formally registered in 1999, Spurwing Tourism is a South African tour operator and destination management partner built around a simple idea: serious operational capability should never come at the expense of personal service.
Nearly three decades of South African travel
Spurwing has grown through years of operating real journeys: private touring, safari travel, transfers, tailor-made itineraries and substantial group movements. That experience shapes how we plan, communicate and respond when a journey becomes more complicated than a booking form.

Spurwing combines hands-on planning and accountability with the guides, vehicles, suppliers and operating relationships required to deliver everything from individual journeys to complex multi-vehicle programmes. Personal does not mean small. It means accountable.
The journey begins before you arrive
We believe travel starts with the first conversation. Good planning should build excitement, answer the questions travellers have not thought to ask yet and make the journey feel considered before the first flight departs.
Built around the whole journey
Tours, accommodation, safari arrangements, transfers and group logistics should work together. Spurwing looks at the journey as a whole rather than treating each component as an isolated transaction.
Led by people who remain close to the operation
Spurwing is led by Managing Director Kosie, with Liam responsible for operations. Leadership, itinerary coordination, transport, guide allocation and client delivery remain close enough to the operation for accountability to mean something.
