The stay
Small, private and built for families as much as couples
RockFig has six chalet-style suites in the Timbavati and no more. Each has a heated plunge pool on its own deck, a deep bath, indoor and outdoor showers opening onto a garden, a stocked bar fridge, coffee machine, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and heating. Safari vehicles carry no more than four guests, and any family gets its own vehicle and guide without paying for it, which, together with a policy of no age restrictions on drives, makes it one of the easier luxury lodges in the Greater Kruger to visit with young children. The rate includes all meals, local drinks, laundry, daily safari activities and transfers from the lodge's private airstrip. With six suites and a stated maximum of sixteen guests, the whole lodge can be taken by a single group.
