Cheetah Plains

Cheetah Plains sells nothing smaller than a villa. Each of its three, Karula, Mapogo and Mvula, has four private suites for up to eight guests, a pool deck, formal and entertainment lounges, a boma, a wine gallery and a chef's kitchen, and each is run by its own host, butler, culinary team, spa therapist, guide and tracker. Game drives use a fully electric Land Cruiser assigned to the villa, charged from the property's own solar and battery system, on which the whole lodge runs. The rate covers all meals and drinks including South African wines and spirits, twice-daily drives, walks, select spa treatments, laundry, child minding, Wi-Fi and the use of Nikon cameras and lenses. Children of all ages are welcome. Every villa is designed for ease of movement for wheelchair users, and the lodge publishes an accessibility guide.

Why Cheetah Plains

It is the property to book when privacy is non-negotiable: a family or group of up to eight that wants its own building, staff and vehicle in the Sabi Sand, with the bill settled per villa rather than per person and almost nothing left to add. The silent electric vehicles are a real difference on drives, and the published accessibility and neurodiversity provision is rare at this level.
