A private lodge that uses Kruger as its reserve
The Lodge occupies its own fenced section of the Bushveld Terrace property, about 100 metres from the hotel and closest of all to Phalaborwa Gate. It has eight guest rooms with private entrances, queen or king beds, en-suite bathrooms, Wi-Fi and climate control, for up to sixteen guests, plus a private pool, a fire-pit boma, indoor and outdoor lounges and a fully equipped kitchen in which a private chef prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner. Two game drives a day go into Kruger National Park itself with the property's guides, so the game viewing is on public-park roads rather than a private reserve. The property describes it as a private, fully curated lodge for exclusive group stays.
Why the Lodge rather than the Hotel
Take the Lodge when a family group or party of friends wants a hosted, full-board stay with drives arranged, a chef and a house to itself, but at Kruger-gateway prices rather than private-reserve prices. The trade-off is that drives follow Kruger's public roads and gate hours, without off-road tracking or night drives. Couples wanting a room and breakfast should book the Hotel next door.
