Full Day Winelands Tour

1 Day

South Africa’s fertile valleys are world-famous for producing crisp white wines and classic French-style reds. However, the Winelands also boast rustic beauty, historic charm, and sprawling estates shaded by giant oak trees. This full-day tour takes you through the country’s principal wine routes—Paarl, Stellenbosch, and Franschhoek—with stops for wine tastings and a lunch break

“Sip, swirl, and savor the finest wines in South Africa’s breathtaking vineyard landscapes!”

Overview

Our day begins in Paarl, where you’ll be captivated by the valley’s rolling vineyards and stunning mountain scenery. This town holds historical significance as the place where Nelson Mandela was released from prison, marking the dawn of a new South Africa. Here, we enjoy a wine tasting and cellar tour at one of the esteemed estates.

Next, we journey to Franschhoek, a picturesque village founded in 1688 by French Huguenots fleeing religious persecution in Europe. This town, often referred to as the “Food and Wine Capital” of South Africa, boasts a rich wine-making heritage, producing wines once sought after by Napoleon and European royalty. We’ll stop for lunch (for own account) and indulge in another wine tasting at a local vineyard.

Our final stop is Stellenbosch, South Africa’s second-oldest town and the heart of the country’s wine industry. Established in 1679, its Cape Dutch, Georgian, and Victorian architecture blends seamlessly with the majestic oak-lined streets. Enjoy a final wine tasting before returning to Cape Town.
