This circular tour takes you over a mountain pass to the seaside town of Hermanus. Nestled between the mountains and the sea, Hermanus is not only a picturesque coastal gem but also offers some of the best shore-based whale-watching opportunities in the world (August – November).
Close sightings of the majestic Southern Right whale are highly likely. On the return journey, we follow the scenic coastline, with the possibility of spotting more whales—and even playful dolphins. A stop is made at Stoney Point, near Betty’s Bay, to observe the adorable African penguins (optional, for own account & time permitting) before returning to Cape Town in the afternoon.
“Experience the world’s best land-based whale watching along South Africa’s breathtaking coastline!”
