Here are the details of your Thornybush Tented Safari:
Day 1: Your journey begins with a professional driver
picking you up in Johannesburg in a luxury air-conditioned vehicle. Sit back
and relax as you embark on the scenic Panorama Route, which includes iconic
landmarks such as God’s Window, Lisbon Falls, and Graskop. All entrance fees
are included in the package, and there will be stops along the way for comfort
breaks and photo opportunities.
Upon arrival at Tangala Safari Camp, you’ll be warmly welcomed
by the friendly lodge staff. Take some time to settle in and rest before
embarking on an exciting afternoon game drive.
Thornybush Nature Reserve, spanning over 14,000 hectares of
pristine wilderness adjacent to Kruger National Park, is renowned for its
exceptional bush experiences. This haven offers a true escape from the bustling
city life, and Thornybush has earned its reputation for conservation and
hospitality. Your stay here promises to be a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts.
Late afternoon and evening game drives provide excellent
opportunities to spot wildlife in their natural habitat. After the game drive,
return to the lodge for a delicious dinner and enjoy a relaxed evening at your
leisure.
Day 2: Start your day with a cup of coffee before heading
out for a thrilling morning game drive in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Keep your eyes
peeled for the iconic Big Five animals as they awaken and roam through the
reserve. Alternatively, you can choose a morning bush walk for a different
perspective and a closer encounter with the African wilderness.
Upon your return from the safari, a leisurely breakfast will
be served. You’ll have the rest of the morning to unwind at the lodge, catch up
on some sleep, or relax by the pool. Lunch will be served, and you’ll have more
time to rejuvenate before embarking on an afternoon/sunset safari drive with
your knowledgeable guide.
Experience the magical sunset in the bush before returning
to the lodge for a delectable dinner. The evening is yours to enjoy at your
leisure.
Day 3: Rise early for another exhilarating morning game
drive, giving you another chance to spot elusive wildlife. Return to the lodge
for breakfast and check-out. Our driver will be ready to transfer you back to
Johannesburg via Nelspruit. If you prefer, arrangements can be made for you to
fly in and out of Nelspruit (KMIA) instead of being transferred to
Johannesburg. The drive to Nelspruit from the lodge takes approximately two and
a half hours, while the drive to Johannesburg is about six hours.
